Bungalow Conversion
There are a number of conversion options available to customers living in a semi-detached or detached bungalow, either:
- Velux conversion forming 1x bedroom (possible bathroom)
- Cottage dormer conversion forming 1x bedroom (possible bathroom)
- Hip to Gable dormer at rear forming either 1x bedroom and 1x bathroom, or 2x bedroom and 1x bathroom
- Raise the ridge (remove the existing roof and form a newer one at a higher level)
- Hip to Gable at rear with French doors forming 1x room (possible bathroom)
Hip to Gable

A Hip to Gable conversion is where the ridge line of a hip-end roof is extended to make a gable-end roof. |
Pitched Dormer
 |
This type of dormer window is often called cottage style and is particularly suited to older houses and, unsurprisingly, cottages. |
Flat Roof Dormer
 |
A Dormer extension is used when then existing loft space is of insufficient size for the planned conversion, as it creates additional headroom to help incorporate the staircase and new rooms.

Velux Conversions

A velux conversion is one that uses roof light windows installed into the pitch of a roof to give light.
